Vara saeveski, Vara küla, 60426, Estonia

Description

Sawn timber has been produced historically at Vara for over 100 years now. Vara Saeveski OÜ has been operating at Vara since 2000.
Our main activity is producing sawn timber from small diameter softwood logs which is used for construction, furniture production and all different kinds of timber manufacturing in Estonia and elsewhere to provide our lumber with highest added value .

For our production about 240 000m3 fresh pine & spruce sawn logs are purchased annually and measured using Log X-ray technology from Finnos in our most modern log sorting line, assessed by the Estonian volume formula for round timber. Board sorting is based on the Nordic quality standards in classes: SF,PF (SF+VI), VI & VII. All boards are individually evaluated by visual grading using finest Finscan 3D technology. Goods are kiln dryed using Mühlbock kilns considering the specific needs of our clients.

We collaborate with partners who ensure legal sources and sustainable forestry.
We are also part of the Estonian Forest and Wood Industries Association as well as Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
